Frequently Asked Questions
About Coaching
-
Coaching is a partnership that creates space for reflection, growth, and change. It’s not about quick fixes or giving advice — it’s about listening, asking insightful questions, and helping you uncover your own insights and solutions. Through coaching, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and direction as you navigate change and complexity with greater ease and intention.
-
Mentors often share advice based on their own experience, while therapy focuses on healing and mental health. Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented — it helps you build self-awareness, gain perspective, and take intentional steps toward the future you want to create.
-
If you’re curious about what’s next in your career or life, feeling stuck or in transition, or simply ready for something to shift, coaching can help. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin — just a willingness to explore and grow.
Working Together
-
I work with clients across industries and career stages — from early-career professionals to experienced leaders, and from those navigating a new role to those balancing personal transitions. Coaching is for anyone who wants to reflect, grow, and move forward with clarity and purpose.
-
Each session is a dedicated space for you. I’ll listen closely, ask thought-provoking questions, challenge you when it’s helpful, and reflect back what I hear. Clients often describe leaving sessions with more clarity, perspective, and energy to take their next steps.
-
Every client’s journey is different. Some focus on career development or transitions, others on leadership growth or workplace challenges, and many on navigating both personal and professional change. Coaching adapts to what matters most to you.
Logistics
-
It depends on your goals. Some clients work with me for a few months to navigate a specific transition, while others continue longer as they grow into new roles or directions. We’ll design an approach that works for you.
-
Yes. I offer a complimentary 30-minute Introductory Session for anyone considering coaching. This is a chance to meet, talk about what brings you to coaching, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
-
I work with clients virtually, which allows flexibility no matter where you’re located. All you need is a quiet space and a reliable connection.
Reassurance
-
That’s completely normal. Coaching isn’t about being “ready” or having all the answers — in fact, many clients come to coaching because they feel unsure. Together, we’ll create clarity and momentum at a pace that feels right for you.
-
That’s okay too. Some clients begin without a specific goal — the first step is simply making space to pause and reflect. Coaching helps you uncover what matters most and where you’d like to focus.
-
Many people feel that way in the beginning. But again and again, clients have told me that my warm and inviting style helps them feel safe and comfortable opening up — often more quickly than they expected. Creating that sense of trust and ease is one of the most important parts of my role.
Cost
-
My coaching engagements are intentionally customized to ensure you get exactly the support you need, which is why I don't publish a one-size-fits-all rate.
The cost varies depending on your specific goals, the length of engagement, the level of support you require, and the overall scope of the engagement, which could include:
Flexibility to shift focus as new priorities arise
Manager alignment conversations or coordination with HR or L&D partners
Assessment tools (e.g., personality or strengths inventories)
360 reviews and stakeholder interviews
During the Introductory Session, I reserve time to discuss pricing and your budget and am open to exploring creative ways to design a coaching engagement that works for you.
-
I believe coaching should be accessible and inclusive.
I encourage you to first check with your employer, as many companies have budget for employee professional development and training. I also set aside a few reduced-rate spots each quarter for individuals experiencing financial hardship, and I offer pro bono coaching for individuals in the nonprofit sector.
